Scheduled, non-emergency consultations in the Cape Winelands
We offer a limited, booked home-service for patients who need convenient, personalised medical care at home.
This service is designed for stable, non-emergency patients who would prefer to enjoy medical care in the privacy of their own home
What does a home visit include?
Suitable for patients who are:
Unwell but stable
Elderly and struggling to travel
Recovering after illness or operation
Staying on farms, hotels, lodges
Requiring private, discreet consult
Common reasons for a visit could include:
Flu-like illness
Gastroenteritis
Urinary Tract Infections
Medication review
Blood pressure or Chronic medication
Minor injuries
What is included in a home visit
A full GP consultation
Clinical examination
Prescription when indicated
Basic procedures: stitches, injection
Referral to hospital if needed
Important: This is not an emergency service
Our home visit service is not an emergency or after hour service
If a patient has any life threatening symptoms such as chest pain, severe shortness of breath, stroke symptoms, major trauma, major bleeding, or collapse, please call emergency services immediately
Home visits are only available by pre booking during scheduled work hours.
Availability
Home visits are currently available on Thursday afternoons from 14:00 - 18:00 by prior arrangement only.
Availability is subject to doctor schedule and geographic location.
Fees
Home visits attract a fixed call out fee of R2000
Additional charges may apply for: extended distance outside the central Winelands area and extended consultation time.
All fees are confirmed upfront at the time of booking.
